Game day is here!

Morgie and Koka Bubbles wish everyone good luck...
The time is 10.06pm Friday night and I have just hopped on the computer to wish everyone a fantastic first game. Some excellent groundwork has been done by many people. Once again a special thanks to the coaches and stalwarts of the club. Best wishes to all teams gearing up tomorrow, may your dreams tonight be filled with try scoring success and your pillow be wrinkled and flat from all the tackling you have been practicing in your sleep!

Don't forget to get to the field half an hour before the game for warm up, to take your best attitude, mouthguards, boots, socks and WATERBOTTLE!

Parents, remember to be supportive and contributing on the sideline and not negative and obstructive. Kia Kaha, Kia Toa! Best wishes and see you all at practice on Sunday afternoon.

Get your digital cameras clicking.

Rico - Crusaders...Hosea - Hurricanes...Morgie - YMP!
Tena koutou. I'm Koka Bubbles Reedy(Paapere). I've been helping Beanie get her website going. We are so excited about what we have created so far. I'm Looking forward to watching this website grow as more and more people add their own voices. Check out our new YMP senior page.

Blog websites are different to ordinary websites. Visitors can read AND then comment, post and upload pictures, kinda like bebo. All that we ask if you comment here is that you keep your words and your pictures SAFE, LEGAL, repectful to the club and age appropriate. Anything added in poor taste will be moderated or deleted. Kids ask your parents first.

I encourage all you digital camera and mobile phone owners to get clicking over winter and help us get a photo gallery going. The more we map our journey the more of a legacy we can leave for our future generations.

Registrations and Next Muster

Piri and Hosea with Genesis and Nancy!
We had our second junior muster today. Many thanks to those families who were able to attend. Places are filling up fast and we don't want anyone missing out on becoming the next future member of our fantastic team so register your children now by emailing me or adding a comment below!

The
next muster is at 2pm Sunday 22 April at Barry Park. Spread the word to other family members to bring their children down. You can email them a copy of this post by clicking the envelope below. Can anyone remember how the YMP haka goes? If you do please bring it down to the next muster. We will work a haka practice into our programme.

YMP for life!

Nau mai ki YMP JAB Website. Designed as a vital information and communication hub for all those involved in YMP JAB. Club members past and present, coaches, managers, parents, players and friends of YMP, welcome. We can keep each other up to date with calendar events, Saturday morning adventures, stories from past YMP JAB players and future Premier team members. I would like to see every under 13 team each year graduate to High School proud to have come from YMP JAB. It will give me special pleasure to watch the current under 6's graduate in 2015 knowing we have looked after them so well they have stayed with us for 7 full years.

I believe that our short term goal can be to have two teams per grade with full coaching support by 2008. This will mean a radical change in how things are run. It is necessary that we are each proactive with recruiting and retaining players and that together we stage a more organised management team approach that fosters care, development, enjoyment for players under a strong umbrella of committed linked coaches open to continuous learning. Of utmost importance is the establishment of maximum parent participation in team support and promotion. We are reminded of the old saying..."Many hands make light work".

It is my pleasure to serve as YMP JAB representative and I look forward to working with our fantastic team of coaches and parents thoughout 2007 and beyond.
